Our Planning & Design Process

  • 1. Initial Consultation

    Phone Phone

Every project starts with a Complimentary Phone Consultation to start the dialog about your project. We are available 7-days a week (limited times on Sat-Sun) to accommodate your busy work schedule. During the consultation, we’ll review your needs and cooking/entertaining lifestyle to help us create a space that exemplifies your vision.

  • 2. Initial Design

    Brush Brush

Based on your measurements and our consultation, we’ll send you the initial 2-3 design concepts in 3D followed by elevations with dimensions. Please review and send us your feedback, and we’ll make the needed revisions right away.

  • 3. Design Iteration

    Check Check

Our service includes unlimited revisions within reason. We ask that you advise us of any changes you would like to consider in the designs. We will make revisions the designs and send them to you right away.

  • 4. Meeting at IKEA to finalize the designs

    Users Users

Once we have the overall design in place, we will meet at IKEA to review & finalize door/drawer configurations, interior fittings and all the bells & whistles that IKEA offers to create a Shopping List. For out of state clients, or for those who cannot meet us in person, we will send an email with links to all the interior fittings, etc., and we will schedule a time to review by phone. Then I will create the Final Shopping List.

  • 5. Final Steps

    List List

The FINAL designs and Final Shopping List are then sent to the cabinet installer and the contractor with my detailed notes, any 3rd party vendors such as Fireclay, Embolden and Modern Twig, to create an order for your tiles, and/or any custom fronts.

Q & A

Yes, we have several contractors in the Southern California area, including the Palm Springs and San Diego areas. And we have a contractor and installer that covers the Denver area and it’s surroundings.

Absolutely! Visit our Customize page to see cabinet door/tile vendors and request your samples.

No, we only charge for the design and ordering services. Although we will help navigate paylinks from IKEA, and any custom vendors that we work closely with. And any contractors and/or installers will invoice you directly.

If any product is missing/damaged, I help facilitate the replacements to be shipped asap. Responsibility still falls on contractor for scheduling of electrician, plumber, flooring rep, painter, etc. I will work with the installer if there are delays.

The contractor handles all expected costs and timelines for plumbing, electrical, demo, paint, drywall, and flooring. I take care of all expected costs for cabinets, and countertops. We will then schedule time with the cabinet installer to review the designs to assist them in creating a quote.

Once the installers are done, they let us know. We then reach out to client for pictures, and ask them if they’re happy with the kitchen. We also assure them that we’re available for any questions after the kitchen is installed.
